Meet the Artist

myself

Hello, visitors! My name is Maggie Wu and my artist name is Lalun. I am currently seeking my degree in Fine Arts with a focus in drawing. As a full-time student, I enjoy playing video games with my friends and random hobbies during my free time. I have many interests, including window shopping, collecting stuffed animals, singing, and organizing.

My friends also refer to me as a panda. I have the laziness and tiredness of a panda. I have black circles, identify as Asian, and usually sleep for half of the day. Sometimes I am the most clumsiest being i will ever be. Sometimes I overeat and just sleep afterwards. Sometimes I sit there not knowing what I was trying to do next—all of these is what my friends consider me, as a panda.

I do not spend any time watching television or Netflix. Instead, I watch Korean dramas. I listen to K-pop as my music preference. I also do not care for the outside world, such as politics or news. I usually focus on what is within my proximity. Most of the time I am optimistic about life, where I am care-free and feel as if I can accomplish anything. I am all for natural looks—I do not use make-up or synthetic skin care.

"An artist who stops making art is committing emotional suicide. Get off the couch and start painting again."

This quote is relevant to me because art basically made my life. If I don't do any "arting," I would probably not know what I would want to do. My parents are really strict with grades, since I come from a Chinese ansestry. I am not a student with bright grades. However, I do believe that my hard work and knowing multiple aquaintances will help me in the future.
